Out of the box is a game made for the Asylum Jam 2014 with 8 other students.   THE GAME HERE   Asylum Jam The Asylum Jam is a game jam that takes place near Halloween period during 48H. The purpose is to create a horror game and explore the genre without negative mental health or medical stereotypes. There is no limitation of size for a team and no need to sign up for participate.   Out Of The Box My roles : – Game Designer – Level Designer – Create the Menu on Unity We were two game/level designers, two programers, 1 sound designer and 4 graphists. With my game designer colleague we established a basic gameplay loop, behaviors of the box, of the player, of the innocents and of the monsters, a list of signs & feedbacks and a list of animations and sounds for the other members of the team. We produced 5 rooms to have enough modular places and build them on Unity. To help the programers, I created the main menu on Unity.   The Project : In horror games, danger often comes from the environment. In Out Of The Box, we wanted danger to come from you like this the NPCs observing you and fearing you. Finally, danger does not really come from your avatar but a kind of extension of it : The Basket. Summary : The Basket is your enemy, the box is your weapon; keep it hidden but don’t let it eat you ! In Out of the Box, you are stuck with a dangerous creature that you will have to preserve and hide from the other foes… but sooner or later, it will get hungry. The more hungry it gets, the more restless it becomes. If it doesn’t feed on others… it will feed on YOU. In Out of the Box, your goal is to take revenge, the means are in your hands. Explore a ghastly bunker, find your target and kill him; but beware, no one alive should know… what’s in the box. The Basket : The Basket has two main states : Replete and Starving. Of Course, the starvation is something progressive that becomes more and more urgent in the time. To make the player understands this evolution, the Basket gives more and more signs : it wriggles more, talks more and becomes more aggressive. All these elements make noises, so you are more locatable if the basket is very hungry. The loudest sound is the one that the basket makes when it eats someone, so be careful of where you do it! A game made for the indie speed run 2013, a 48H game jam. I was with 3 others students. Our theme was Growth and our element Silverware. I was a graphist on this 48 hours. We can say that this game is a mix between Basket Ball, teamplay and degrees !!! You can play it alone or with 3 other friends. You have to grab things which fall of the sky and throw them in the furnace on the middle of the screen. You have 2 minutes to reach the better score you can. Cooperative game produced with 5 others Supinfogame students in a week. My Roles : – Game/Level Designer – Graphic Artist We all participated to the original idea, after that I was in charge of game graphisms with an other student. I also created four level designs and I took care of the soundscape. A promotional campaign 360 ° for the brand Havaianas produced in october 2011.   Software : – Photoshop – Flash (AS3)   The Project :   In this campaign event, fun atmosphere and offbeat brand tong Havainas should be obvious. The incorporation of a ludic process was implicit in this campaign. So I developped a game/contest based on a wacky inquiry: « Mais où est passée Havana Rose? », an application (PC and phone) way Point&Click game where we need to find the tong Havana. We navigate the streets of major cities (unlocked progressively) in google street view to find clues and characters able to help us. All characters are shoes with a strong trait. The surreal graphics of the photomontage corresponds to the desired atmosphere. . The communication of the event will be using a teaser and a banner but also flyers and posters with clues and Flash code. People who have finished the game may be drawn and win a world tour in the cities of the game. . The characters : We will see quickly that we need to find the secret of the protagonist of the city so that it tells us where headed Havana. Havana Rose: The missing. We learn information about his person during the game. She lives in Paris and is a journalist. She is dynamic and playful all the time. Quite sure there is a rivalry between the two sisters that accentuates sometimes but they are very accomplices. They are used to borrow/steal things mutually. Secret : She studies internationnal finance only for her mother. She loves baking. She is the secret baker that nobody saw but everybody loves her cakes. An order from the museum of Bourgoin Jallieu (FR) for a textile exhibition on the theme of the feather, produced in April 2011. Software : – Illustrator – Flash (AS2) This work has been pre-selected This is my second project on Flash in AS2, without using Flash Develop.   I had to create a short video game for kids. The museum wanted them to recognize the feather of a bird thanks to its cry. The Child can click as many times as he wants on the cages to hear the cry of the prisoner. I chose to trap birds in cages like this children make a good action by releasing them. Moreover, the cages can make guessing the bird while leaving some mystery on its final form. The child is then intrigued and wants to finish the game. The graphism is inspired by Michel Ocelot and his shadows which tends towards a poetic atmosphere that appeals to both young and old.
